London 2012

  • loved loved the opening ceremony. mr. bean and the flying queen was epic. brits so witty!
  • fantastic concept on the flame/cauldron, just wow. but what were they thinking when they stuck it inside an arena where no one can really take a picture in front of it without a ticket.
  • brought back memories of watching olympics at home, and how much I used to enjoy the ceremonies, the events and all the color. I miss swimming...
  • our own Niluka in the first 16?
  • Phelps at 22 medals!! what a great olympian, and what a proud mama. :)
  • Rockstar Swagger.. really Lochte?
  • shame on you, those disgraceful badminton players who were throwing the games.
  • First double amputee to participate in Olympics.  Historic.
  • How does Bolt make it look so easy, like a walk in the Hyde Park?
  • Misty May and Kerry Walsh, did it again, for the 3rd time!
  • Way to go Dream team, it wouldn't have been complete had you not won the gold.
  • What a tribute to Lennon. Imagine, gave me goosies.
  • Amazing closing ceremony with the emphasis on British music celebration; Georgy, super models, fatboy slim, Jessie J, Tiao Cruz, Spice Girls!!!!!, former Oasis, bhangra dancers, Queen, One Direction, among many others..
  • what an event, what great athletes.. memories, and emotions. GB you did good..
'til next time...

and we Roar

quite the exciting game! phew I almost had a heart attach there..

couldn't really watch the NZ innings as much, but I heard it through the grapevine that we kicked some sweet kiwi ass. and Murali, what a treat =)
btw, what were the kiwis mumbling in our players' ears while they bat?
and man do I miss the excitement at the stadium.

we need this confidence for the finals! go boys!

just a short one, this March is really kicking my ass.

my first Rodeo

Is there any better way to spend your Saturday night?

The boy friend, had bought me a ticket to go see the Saturday night professional bull riding championships. I didn't know such thing existed in this area.. and never been to a bull riding event ever. TV was the channel I knew about them and I was pretty skeptical when he said that I'm going (yes I was forced to go with them) for this thing on Saturday...

One of the guys who'd gone the day before was grumbling that it was boring, so he was a mood killer, and I almost wanted to stay home but reading my text book looked way more boring! and this was the day of the 'finals' apparently., and it was indoors (in the middle of a winter) so off I went to this thing with a bunch of guys..

as a matter of fact I should say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. great seats! It was quite entertaining. I've got to say the bull riders (the hunky cowboys!) are extremely brave to get on that bull who looks like it's on some kind of steroids.. I would piss my pants to even go close..

unfortunately didn't have a camera.. but I'm so glad I went to check out what it's like. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I had no clue of how they were judged, or where these people were from etc..

thank you google images

Recreational mishap

After forcing myself to come up with some kind of new year resolution, here I wrote about my step towards a pinch of recreation.. and trying to be fit as some may call.. after very random times a week, i'm still hanging in there in the loop and dragging myself to the rec centre.. regardless of the fact that the fitness-fairy is looking at me or not..

anyhoo.. out of the norms I thought I should go for a swim on a Saturday morning. quite chilly outside but meh, who cares.. I go for a swim.. swim more than I would on a weekday, jump in the hot tub for a little longer than usual as well (rather 8-10mins), and off I go for a shower.. While in the shower I felt light headed but didn't really care. Went to the locker room and start getting dressed.. i start blacking out.. things were becoming unclear and was becoming grey.. I knew it was bad news, I came out of the changing room and dragged myself to the benches near the lockers where more people would hang out.. unconsiously sit/lie down on a bench.. asking some lady for help..

creepyness..

I didn't completely pass out.. I was aware of everything happening around me.. by the time the first-aid girl came running I was getting back to normal.. low blood sugar may be she said?:S and gave me some gatorade sorta drink.. may be I didn't cool off the hot-tub effect.. luckily I didn't have to drive back home..

quite eventful and scary at the same time..

the matrix still alive?

haven't been following the NBA games very very closely but i am a fan of the fellas from phx (not the boobs but the suns).

The suns have been on a 8 game winning streak i hear and it seems to be going down the drain since the warriors today are playing extremely well and may be a little too good. I didn't even know that there's a game going on, thanks to the continious channel flipping I ended up on a dose of nba.

seconds to call it a night and seems like the warriors are ending the suns winning streak, and they couldn't play any better.. anways, is nash too old now or ellis' too young for the aging suns? oh well everyone has a bad day..

go suns go!
